DUKE UNIVERSITY, SHOPPING AND CHOCOLATE MAKE A DAY PERFECT!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday we had a busy a day. In the morning we visited Duke University and felt amazed by the beautiful buildings, church and sport facilities they have. When we finished the tour we were taken to The Streets at Southpoint, a great mall where we did some shopping.

In the evening some students atended a chocolate workshop where they got to make some beautiful chocolates.

TARA FARM AND PIZZA PARTY

Hello from sunny Raleigh!

Yesterday (Tuesday) we visited the Head of the School, Mrs. Kelly, and we visited Tara Farm. They had really beautiful horses, which had won lots of world championships. They let us feed the horses and touch them. After lunch our students shadowed their American student for the afternoon classes so they learnt about Human Geography, Maths, Physics, Journalism,...

In the evening we were invited by Mrs. Cohen and we enjoyed a fun pizza party where we got to eat, play some sports and have lots of fun.

FIRST DAYS AT RAVENSCROFT

Welcome to our blog! 

After a long flight we arrived at Raleigh/Durham AirPort, where the American families were waiting for us. We all were tired but so excited to meet them. We spent the weekend with the families and enjoyed the good weather. Some students went bowling, others went to a water park, and of course to the mall. 

Monday was our first day of school and it started at 8 a.m. with the morning meeting, where we were introduced to the Upper School. After that we had a tour through the school and we visited some classes. Monday evening was fun. We went to a Durham Bulls baseball game. Baseball, hot dogs, hamburguers, souvenirs store... We had a blast!

LAST PICTURES

Hi everyone! As you all know now, due to technical difficulties I wasn't able to update this blog during the last three days of our stay in Ireland. However, I'd like to make sure that everyone can have the pictures of our adventures in Dublin this summer so I'm posting them on this entry.

First pictures of the differente activities we did during the second week in the college. This includes arts and crafts, sports, games, discos,...

We went to Dun Laoghaire again too to see the lighthouse.

On the last saturday we went to Dublin again. we walked through St. stephen's Park, went on the fantastic Viking Splash Tour, saw St. Patrick's Cathedral and spent the afternoon learning about the history of the city in the Dublinia museum.

That day we bumped into a classmate from 2ESO C in the centre of Dublin!!! Hi Sabi!!

On sunday, we went to the beautiful National Heritage Park and then went inside a real castle from the XVth century, Ferns castle.

The day after these last pictures we returned to Madrid... and you know the rest!!

I would like to congratulate all the students who took part in this trip and thank them for their effort and the good times we shared during our stay in Rathdown College. It was an unforgettable experience and I am glad I could share it with all of them!!
